A Brand New Computer for me.

This one does not make noise much.

What do you do with all this stuff? Just the basic keyboard is the same. Maybe it is not even a computer but it works like one to me. The thing cost about 399.99$ as they always do. All the operating stuff and package for service and to get them to make it do what it is supposed to do was about another $399.99

So I think I am low end. My first computer back in about 1984 was bought in a deal for 6 of them all tied into a phone service that must have been PA Bell because I think MA Bell was gone by then.

We did not have "cell" phones back then, but the deal had two "car" phones that my partner and I got. The average monthly "car phone" bill was about $1,200.00

I reckon I am getting old

My children leave me alone.

Not really they bug me all the time and we love each other.

But sometimes I like to pretend I am just to old and gray and nobody cares about me any more.

So I include this sad song. But do not worry I have another with someone staring out their back door?

What a great voice and such a deep song. Hello!!!

But and I do not run our rig that way. We batten down for the storm but keep an eye out for change.

Well here is the cool thing about that computer/phone integration thingy bobby we had. When a client would call the "midas" would trap the number and auto print and send a bill.

I was a two hundred dollars and hour then and would only bill in increments of 15 minutes. So one time a buddy called me up to donate 20 tickets for a charity I did pro bono work for. He was a lineman for the San Diego Chargers. And he kicked in my door and hit me so hard I woke up 2,000 miles away in Vermont.

So I guess I am a little bit cautious with newfangled ditty my widgets.

Old Indian Trail

I just read this and it is false

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_line_(telephony)

My family technically still owns a party line connection. Until we change owners they have to leave it with us.

OK there is no one else left on the line. Ours is a two ringy dinging and Thompson's was a one and Fredells were a three and so on. They are all dead now.

This is a true story. Oak Creek Canyon, Indian Garden, Old Indian trail about 4 miles up from Sedona Arizona.

I have dutifully not released the whole names to protect the innocent --- and I did see an innocent back in '92.

I told you I would give you another back door song.

That really is called Old Indian Road and that is about mile from our party line but that gal can party still

This computer thing

I think it really helps me to write/right better. I know that is silly. When I took or sat for a Bar exam back about the time you were born, we were the first they allowed to use electric typewriters. I did not use one I used my pappy's Underwood, if you get that you must also get a Social Security check.

Good luck.
